The Every Day with Jesus

Luke 5

17 One day He (Jesus) was teaching, and there were some Pharisees and teachers of the Law (scribes) sitting there who had come from every village of Galilee and Judea, and from Jerusalem; and the power of the Lord was present for Him (Jesus) to perform healing.

"Wow, he is a great teacher" said the man with a torn shirt. “Do you think He will heal anyone?” said the women next him. A frantic man said “we are looking for a place for our friend. Is there room in the front.” Another said, “we want him at the feet of the teacher.” “Look” said a gentleman on the roof.

 18 And some men were carrying a man on a stretcher who was paralyzed; and they were trying to bring him in and to set him down in front of Him. 19 But when they did not find any way to bring him in because of the crowd, they went up on the roof and let him down through the tiles with his stretcher, into the middle of the crowd, in front of Jesus. ?”

20 And seeing their faith, He said,  Friend, your sins are forgiven you.” 21 The scribes and the Pharisees began thinking of the implications, saying, “Who is this man who speaks blasphemies? Who can forgive sins, except God alone?” 22 But Jesus, aware of their thoughts, responded and said to them, “Why are you thinking this way in your hearts? ?”

 23 Which is easier, to say: Your sins are forgiven you, or to say, Get up and walk’? 24 But so that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins,” He said to the man who was paralyzed, “I say to you, get up, and pick up your stretcher, and go home.” 25 And immediately he got up before them, and picked up what he had been lying on, and went home glorifying God. 26 And they were all struck with astonishment and began glorifying God. They were also filled with fear, saying, “We have seen remarkable things today!” 

I strive to be more like Jesus.  What does that look like?  It mirrors his qualities and attitudes.

Lamentations 3:22-23

22 The Lord’s acts of mercy indeed do not end,
For His compassions do not fail.
23 They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.

The steadfast love of the LORD never ceases, and his mercies never come to an end. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness (Faithfulness is the quality of being steadfast, loyal, and true to one’s promises, duties, or original form).

No matter what happened yesterday, you can rest in the peace of God. His mercies never end. With Him you have an unending supply of grace waiting for you every day. His compassion is refreshing in this day and tomorrow and running into God’s arms is having life again.

They believe that strengthening local communities creates value for business.  Each Walmart store, Sam’s Club, and distribution center try to strengthen and support local communities.  Their program Spark Good, provides local grants that are awarded through an open application process.

Community Bible Church San Antonio, has a summer at Vacation Bible School. Kids will discover one powerful truth about Who God is.

According to their website, kids will explore the characteristics of God. He is our Creator, our Friend, our Savior, and the One who is always with us. Each day builds on this foundation, helping kids see that no matter what changes around them, God never does. The week will be power packed with fun and the truth of the Bible. Don’t forget how powerful worship can be. Oh, we need snacks too and fun outside. Please pray for these children to come to know Jesus as their savior.

Twilight of Courage

This story is retelling World War II. The story that intertwines the  various characters facing moral dilemmas as the Nazis invade Europe. This book is about   a cast of characters like American journalists'  & victims.  They escape from the collapse of Warsaw. They found an orphaned baby who needs to go to a family in Jerusalem. Finding a mathematician was so awesome. He is trying to attempt to crack Nazi code. This book explores moral crises, courage, and sacrifice.

The Left Behind books are American Christian thrillers.  The  books by Tim LaHaye and Jerry B. Jenkins  consists of 12 books. The books are about a small group of survivors who are left behind after millions of people suddenly vanish and the world is plunged into chaos and destruction.
